What should a 02 GT have fuel pressure wise. In the books ive seen 48-55psi. My car has 48psi with key on and than when you start and run it. It.ll drop to 42psi.. Is that to low of fuel pressure. Fuel filter has been replaced. Im having problems with it having no power. You give it to much gas it will wind out and slam into gear till you hit 4th than it will come out but still have no power.

Probably a good idea just to replace the fuel filter anyways. If that wasn't it, replace the fuel pump too.

Check out the gm service manual on how to replace the pump, it's pretty easy since there is a access panel inside the trunk.

Have you checked your fuel pressure regulator?? Make sure that there is no cracks in the vaccum line going to it. Sound like your FPR is on its way out.

Look up Document ID 775122 Fuel System Diagnosis, if you haven't already. That will walk you through it step by step.
