ok, right now my exhaust set up is a zzp dp and slp powerflow catback. it sounds decent around 2k, but when you get into the higher rpms, the exhaust disapeers. now is that just the way v6's are? would a certain mod help this?

Well if you don't have drone that is good. If you want to hear your exhaust then get some headers. That will fix the problem.

I don't think a plog will give you the sound that you are looking for. I always thought that the NA had a different gearing than the blown cars. You guys should be faster of the line.

Best sounding exhaust for an NA would be cam, headers, 2.5" exhaust with a res and borla xs or hooker maxflows.

idk, maybe one day....i think im gonna start playin the lottery, then if i win i can buy a ws6 and my exhaust problems will be over

I have Hooker Aero Chambers on my car, and it is deafening at 6k, but really nice and quiet cruising down the road. Just ask Hodrodolds.

Don't mean to hijack here. But I have a single exhaust. Right now Im looking at upgrading to a dual catback exhaust with two Flowmaster Super 44s. What do you guys think is the best way to go on this? Im looking for an amazing idle rumble and something that is going to sound good with I mash the gas. Im thinking around early summer for this project.

If you have any recommendations on other brands let me know.

I had the Flowmaster Super 44s on my 02 3100 GP, it sounded great throughout the RPM range believe it or not. I was very pleased with the sound and have to say that I miss it. Dunno how it'll sound on a 3800 though, keep us updated!!

Well I put in the flowmasters this past weekend. I left the stock resonator and did 2 1/4 after the Y also I did a U bend delete. I put in two Super 44 flowmasters to make it a dual. I like the sound but honestly I wanted it to be much louder. It made my N/A sound like it's supercharged now. I think I'm gonna take out the resonator today, see if it hopefully gets a little louder. Now I'm thinking I should of just done one muffler with dual oulet pipes, I'm guessing that would got me the sound I was going for. But the jod is done now and I don't want to pay again to do a whole new setup.

You need 2 more pistons for exhaust to sound any good above 2000 RPMs. Proven fact. V6s sound like shit.
