I have a base with a simple exaust and i was wondering how much it would cost and if it would be worth while to get an electric cutout of PFYC mounted on my exaust before the muffler. so that when it needs to be quiet and tame it can be and so that when i want to be loud i can just open it up and it sound like a thundering v6.

it all depends on if your going to do it yourself. I think the cutout is 165 bucks. Shippping and instalationa at a shop your total would be around 200. Whether it would be worth it or not i have no clue so hopefully someone else will answer

IMO if you not making power then a cutout is not for you. Trust me when I say your car will sound like shit.

Our cars need back pressure to run good- without it, you'll actually lose HP.

My cutout is down stream from the turbo. In a turbo car the turbo creates back pressure and an open exhaust after the turbo creates more power. Also, the sound of a turbo car with a cutout is much different when compared to a Superchaged or N/A V6.

well thrush weld mufflers sound pretty low/muscular. Havent heard it on a grand prix, but the muffler is 37 buck here. http://www.jegs.com/i/Dynomax/289/17630 ... tId=763864

Replace your resonator with a glasspack and get the thrush muffler for a nice deep tone.

X2

I have a glasspack resonator and two magnaflows, it has a nice deep tone...I like how it sounds and its not too loud to be annoying and no drone  I'll try to remember to take a video tonight of how it sounds, i've been wanting to do that but I always forget.

Sounds sooo good

Along with the header's playing a good part in the sound, don't you have an HV3 and a few other engine mods too? Im sure they help...

You can still see your license plate at the end of the video. Your little sticky note didn't work.

That sounds awesome, doesn't sound raspy like other exhaust systems i have heard for this car. I wish somebody had a video of the glasspack resonator and thrush mufflers now. But that sounds great.
