Join a car club.. Not the ones with a bunch of ricers and people who don't know how to work on cars. Shops give discounts to groups.

So... You want to dyno a mostly stock car?

I wouldn't waste the money. Get some mods and have your car dynotuned when you're ready. I have a local shop that dynotunes for $150-200 and they have HPT. Thats a couple passes on the dyno, and a custom tune for less than a box tune from a vendor.

The shop that did that's website says for just a dyno is $75 for the first hour with a wideband, plus $60 hourly for tuning after that.

If you do a group dyno day (which requires a minimum of 10 cars), at that shop its $50/ car with a wideband for a baseline test only.
