I've had a starting issue on my 04 since I picked it up in March. Not an uncommon thing I'm seeing. I don't have any engine mod's yet. Fuel filter changed in March. Going to try cleaning out the TB and MAF with some cleaner I have.
I'm curious about if, and at what rpm are we limited at? I'm asking for 2 reasons. (1) even with TC off I'll have wheel spin and acceleration end abruptly (like it was still turned on) when I mat it. Should I not be able to put it to the floor from a stop and keep accelerating?
(2) After replacing the plugs in the gf's 98 GTP I revved her up a bit and it would bog out at around 4000rpm. Am I correct in assuming this is to prevent over revving the engine while not under load? But...she also has a problem under hard acceleration where it's almost like the engine chokes itself out just before 1-2 shift. Usually this happens when her car is cold.
Sorry for the long post but I'm curious if these issues are somehow related to something preventing higher rpm's. Neither car has any drivability issues otherwise.
