where is the low collant sensor and if i take the lower radatior hose off can i just use a garden hose and let it run through the radatior to give it a flush if so how much coolaint does it take to refill and goodyear said my virtical control arm bushings were bad were what the heck are those sorry for all the questions trying to get the car ready for the trip to florida thanks everyone...

HELP.....ok i pulled the lower hose off flushed filled..started the car(after i filled the raditor)to let the air out next thing i know the temp is up to around 250 what am i ding wrong i have to get this done tonight......

Did you bleed the air out of the system through the little valve on the thermostat housing, if not that could be your problem or could also be a stuck thermostat.

Bleed the system.. There's porbably a ton of air trapt. There's a bolt on top of the t-stat housing (7mm) that you'll need to loosen up while it's running. Wait until you see a solid stream before closing. Secondly, make sure there's coolant in the system. Water is a nice short term alternative, but it also boils at a much lower temp than coolant, which you won't want if you're driving long distances.

As for the low coolant sensor, it's on the radiator on the left side (passenger side) next to the upper trans oil cooling line. There's a c-clip holding it on.

As for the control arm bushings. They're right behind the tire, attached to the spindle and engine cradle. Be better off taking it in to have them replaced as they'll need to be pressed off/on. Nothing to stress about though, unless they're starting to break apart.
