My car is a 2008 with 95K on it, after reading and wanting to clean the TB and how many mentionned they felt the difference I figured id give it a go since its just proper maintenance anyhow. I bought a can of Kleen-Flo TB cleaner and cleaned it out real good along with the inside of the intake as far as I could reach, can't say I noticed a big difference in throttle response though if any, maybe in my head :P I know its a 2008 but the mileage is still considerably high and the buildup was pretty caked. Here are some before/after shots.

There will not be a performance emprovement unless the throttle is not opening all the way.

But, there MAYBE a idle improvement as well as a SLIGHT highway fuel econ emprovement.

I doubt the throttle had any issues then which is why I didn't notice any difference...as for idle, idled like a dream beforehand so I won't see any changes there...fuel economy hehe, I don't even track that, in all honesty if any car consumes alot of gas but is fast/performing, I don't care hehe I'll take performance over fuel economy any day :D

In the end im just happy I cleaned it out, unfortunately for us here emission laws are so strict that I cannot remove the EGR system.

I had to clean my TB out too, a couple of months back. Mainly because every time, I first start the car. My gas pedal would stick, but after that, it'll be just fine. After I cleaned it out, no more sticky gas pedal.

Even if you don't notice any improvements its still a good thing to do every once and a while. I have been doing that every year. Makes keeping it clean easy, that first time takes forever its so caked and thick.
