So... I hacked off my mufflers for a cruise Saturday night, now its time to replace some things on the ol' stock exhaust. I'm gonna run straight pipes from the y back to the tips. I also want to replace the Downpipe (In a couple months) and I'm gonna be replacing my resonator with something to reduce the drone. I was doing a little research on glasspacks when I came across "powersticks"... They are a chambered exhaust that doesn't have fiberglass so they are supposed to sound different and last longer. I only need this exhaust to last me about 2 years tops.

Does anyone have any experiance with the Powersticks or should I stick with the ol trusty glasspack?

Does the size of the glasspack/powerstick make difference in the exhaust note?

Just for referance $60 powerstick

From what I personally heard from a few gp's with straight pipe from the florida meet I went to....way to loud the drone would aggravate the shit out of me. I kept my stock resonator and threw on a set of borla muff and very happy :) one of this days ill take a video

Where's a mod when you need one?

BACK ON TOPIC I've never heard of this powerstick but a friend of mine did a glasspack on his car and not three months later (of very hard driving I should add) it's obnoxiously loud. I'm guessing the material burnt out of it already. Honestly I deleted my reso straight up and put a different muffler behind it, but I understand that flavor isn't for everyone.

Um that has no place here.

Just because you didn't get your way doesn't mean you can go and blast every thread he makes.

And just my $.02--foul language and calling him 'tard boy' and 'kcuf head' makes me think more and more that he's not the tool here.

i had two 3" glass packs on my '04 gp and it sounded amazing, very loud but mean sounding. i recently took them off and went with straight pipes, straight pipes sound good at idle but shitty when moving. go with the glass packs.
