I heard that breathers are great for turbo set ups, but aren't as great for supercharged set ups...anybody with a supercharged set up had a problem with using valve cover breathers?

N/A DD will not benefit from breathers, if your worried about oil pooling in the LIM, install a catch-can.

Most people with a breather on a supercharged car are running A2W intercooler cores, which block off the factory PCV routing between the blower and the LIM. Crankcase blow-by gas' have to be vented to avoid building up pressure and blowing out seals & gaskets elsewhere, thus the breather.

Everyone running a breather with their factory PCV uninterrupted are pulling in un-metered air into the engine via the PCV routing. High RPM + un-metered air entering the engine = lean WOT AFR. This can and will lead to detonation.
