Sure you guys have probably heard this before. Ive decided to go the rockers route. Whats the significant difference between 1.8, 1.84, and 1.9. I read on zzp that 1.84 are the highest you can do with stock valves, but will this kill the valves instead. It looks like 1.8 is playing safe, but what would be my gain difference between the three. If i get 1.9s im getting 105# valves, but is it gonna be that big of a difference from just getting 1.84s? Thanks for reading.

PS: Am i missing any supporting mods? Except for retainers and locks and rods, stuff like that.

I've been having ZZP's 1.84 rockers for about 150,000 miles with no issues. IIRC, everything I needed was in the box. I just don't remember if I checked off an extra gasket kit when I ordered it or if it was part of the package. The page should say what comes with the rockers.

1.84 and 1.95 provided the best results on the NA before doing a cam.

1.84 you can keep on factory parts, 105 springs is optional but do help extend the life of the timing chain.
EDIT: Rods come with the 1.84s

1.95 - its recommended to do rods, springs are optional but if your looking to do more power later upgrade to 105 springs and retainers

Just my 2 cents

I run the ZZP Yella Terra 1.84 Roller as well with the provided push rods. Stock springs, 15psi and no problems.

Yup. I ran the YT 1.84 rockers with the included rods. I spun mine 6500rpm easily on stock springs.

I know it's already been covered, but per ZZP's site:

1.6 is the stock ratio.

1.7 will add some lift to whatever cam you are running. (people will run these with the smaller cams if they add ported heads)

1.8 ratio is intended for stock cams with higher mileage valve springs(or low lift aftermarket cam with ported heads).

1.84 ratio is the highest ratio that you can run on the stock valve springs.

1.9 ratio is for stock cams with aftermarket valve springs & retainers.

1.95 is the most aggressive ratio for a stock cam and obviously requires aftermarket valve springs & retainers.

you don't need valve springs on 1.9 if you have shift points at 5,800 or below thats what I will be running.

There are alot a guys running stock valve springs with 1.9 at 6000 shift point but I decided to back mine down to be safe.

The valve springs are there to stop valve float mostly and of course overtime those springs will wear, but for me, my car sees the 5,800 shift point once a month if that. Most the time I get into 2nd at 35mph and take it to 70 to get on the highway thats about it.

Also, from what I understand, the mod'd 1.9's don't require springs, either. If I were to install the 1.9 rollers, I would ABSOLUTELY do springs.

I've been on 1.9 rockers for a while and it runs great. I only go balls to the wall once in a while but it has shift points at 5800 anyways so it's all good. I do plan on doing a complete overhaul sometime and I will change all of that stuff.

I have 1.9 lift rockers, 105 springs, with retainers and locks. If you were going to do this yourself i'd upgrade the springs and everything just to get it over with, its alot of work taking everything off the car. Its also good to have peace of mind.
