Hello Guys,

I would like to know what would be the best mods to improve 0 - 60 times on a GT? Not looking for a Top Swap, Super Charger or Turbo.

Also, can you guys post your cars and their mods with 0 -60 times so that it gives a chance to others to see what they need to do to their cars.

tks

Not a lot of people go for 0-60 times, but i would say it all depends on how much you wanna spend, and what your mechanical ability is.

Granted, however I just want to be able to take other drivers on the street. Therefore, I dont need to be hitting more than 70mph. However, I want to make sure that I hit it fast with bolt on mods. I guess the standard,

CAI
HV3
PCM Tuned
DP
PLOG
Crossover

apply?

On my girlfriend 97 (160k on the clock) I have an intake, custom tune by myself, catless/ubendless DP, flipped dogbone mounts (not that it really makes anything faster), polished LIM runners (again not really a difference maker but it does help keep the air flow a tad more laminar if only for a very short while), and 180* tstat just to keep things a little cooler, and it does 0-60 in low/midish 7's which isn't too bad since a 98-03 GTP runs it in mid 6's stock and her car has the bastard transmission. The 04+'s are a little heavier though than the previous gen.

But as mentioned, intake, headers (not really a huge concern on N/A cars but headers will help top end. A DP alone would do suffice though if you don't get into valvetrain mods), HV3 (helps top end but takes a little away from bottom), tune preferably a custom one, and valvetrain mods if you want to get serious (cam and/or rockers).

350 shot of nitrus no other mods would be the best for at least a wile lol

the 01 stock ran a 6.8 0-60 but this car had no options form the factory and was as light as a GT could get with out gutting it

then i top swapped and cam'd the car becuase ti was the cheapest way to mod it and actualy get any real performance out of it with out going turbo

^^That does indeed meet the requirements of not being a "Top Swap, Super Charger or Turbo." Well I guess maybe turbo since it is a turbine engine, but let's not rain on the parade

A pontiac would have plenty of room and aerodynamics for a turbine engine.
