I spoke with guy from Milzy Motorsports for 3100 engine. Please do not say get 3800 engine crap going on. It is not going happen. Anyway he suggest to me that get both that would make my appearance look good.

3100/3400 65mm Billet Throttlebody

Made by TCE Manufacturing, this one-piece billet CNC'd masterpiece will be sure to give your 3100 or 3400 some more airflow.

Compared to a stock 52mm throttle body, the billet throttle bodies flow 42, 56, and 71% more respectively.
Compared to a stock 56mm throttle body, the billet throttle bodies flow 23, 35, and 47% more respectively

and

Ported and Polished 3100 Upper and Lower Intakes (w/ gaskets!)

Milzy Motorsports Ported and Polished Intakes are a great complement to our heads and cams or even a stock car. These intakes will allow your engine to breath better and allow for less restrictive airflow to see greater gains from our aftermarket heads and cams.
Our intakes unlike other companies, include all the AC Delco gaskets needed to install them. The throttle body port is opened up to 65mm for no extra charge to accomodate the larger size of aftermarket throttle bodies. The upper intake manifold is port-matched at the flange, and the intake runners are fully ported. The lower intake is port-matched at each end, and we port the entire length of the 10" long intake ports. The intake ports are not polished to a shine, but rather left with some texture to allow for better atomization of the air/fuel mixture

So both parts will help or hurt mpg? I don't know lot of them very well.

Thanks,
palsut

Yes, they knew I have 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix SE. He says about 65mm billet throttlebody and ported and polished 3100 upper and lower intakes (w/gaskets!) will make my car better appearance look.

First, I asked him about powder coating on my engine for better appearance look. I'm not saying I want to go "fast". So 3100/3400 65mm Billet Throttlebody look pretty good to me. Of course, I will have cold air intake too.

About Ported and Polished 3100 Upper and Lower Intakes (w/ gaskets!)... I don't think I need it. That's not appearance look. It is buried inside engine right? I don't know why he says that.

You cant see the lower intake but you do see the upper. But you will never see a p&p job once its on the car. With the throttlebody, yes it will look good, yes it will perform better with the p&p intakes but may not be worth it if your going to combine it with a stock set of intakes. Also the outlet of the bigger tb is round and our stock one is oval so you will need a custom intake right from there. What I did was get a 3400 stock tb and opened it up a little bit and called it a day. The only other thing I would do is to get one of there pcm's.

They do have cold air intake that I will take it.

Why I need PCM? It is not like I'm going fast.

I'm not sure if I want to try that. This site says enter your own risk. They won't cover warranty if something break. I need to read it more if it is worth it or not.

From my understanding all aftedrmarket pcms are "at your own risk"

I would thinking about that later.

l32 turbo setup is for 3.8 engine. Mine is 3.1. It doesn't matter. I'm not trying going to fast.

What exactly do want to get out of the engine? You realize that by adding the bigger the throttle body and ported intake manifold you will lose bottom end power in that 3100. You'll gain more on the top end. But around town the car may feel slower.

I'm trying to make my engine appearance look good.

There is my car engine right now. Not bad but it need some work to clean and add some good look.

Image

My plan is

paint galaxy silver cross braces (soon)
paint galaxy silver engine mounts (soon)
fuse cover (already done see picture)
cold air intake (will order one)
install STB and paint galaxy silver (soon)
oil cap decal (black arrowhead with silver background)
powder coating (still talk about that)
Throttlebody (?????)

I asked that guy about powder coating color on my engine. He says $$$ and suggest me get that like 3100/3400 65mm Billet Throttlebody & Ported and Polished 3100 Upper and Lower Intakes (w/ gaskets!) for better appearance look.

Other website say ported and polished is useless so not need to use it but throttlebody look good on your car.

There is example picture of powder coating and throttlebody

Oh, ok....so you're looking for more asthetics then performance. I can see the point you make about the intake needing help in the looks department.

That throttle body is pretty slick looking too.

That's correct. My car is as car show. I don't need to go fast like drag race or whatever. It is all about appearance look.

Hey. Have you checked out wot-tech.com ??? Their ported manifolds are way better than milzy. And a little cheaper I think. Wottech goes through a several step process just on the cleaning and painting of the manifolds. And boy are they clean. Get your oilcap cover at www.mrzperformance.com.

Hey man, Check out www.mpracing.org I've done alot of business with the owner and have had no problems with him at all. I highly recommend him. He has alot of performance parts for the 3100 and 3400 engines. Also he does tuned PCMs for Malibus and Grand Ams, you could ask to see if he can do your car but im not sure on that one.

You know, Patrick, you could, in theory, upgrade to a full 3500? 201 HP, less maintenance, V-Tak, and a better powerband...
