hi, I Have the MAF CODE P0102 :(
Have a 1997 grand prix v6 3.8 liter . ...while in park or at a stop light idles will either drop real low and catches itself or it will completely cut off... usually in park if I rev it up it'll completely drop to 0 rpms. The car drives fine but at a stop light im shaking in my boots. for about ten minutes i let the car idles fall up and down and also was playing with the gas peddle (a lil rev) ended up smelling hot coolant opened the radiator cap and coolant burtsed out a little. i couldn't figure out how to completely take the sensor off, but was still able to clean it with the cleaner. i unplugged the maf wires to see how the car would run and its still doing the same things.
im really a rookie when it comes to idles valves ect so be gentle with my auto knowledge, pictures would help a lot, or even pictures how to actually take the whole sensor off.... i would like some help regarding this idle problem, its killing me.. thank you guys heres a video link

To take the MAF sensor off you need security torx bits which you can get at the local auto parts store. If you wanted to try to buy a used one for cheap, hit up Morad Parts Company. They'd be able to hook you up with one. It could also be a vacuum leak though somewhere. Take some carb cleaner and spray it around the LIM, throttle body and whereever else you want really and see if the idle levels out. If it does, you've found the area of the leak.

Edit:
I did a google search and found this. Might be help a little and this quote was in reference to a GP.
"P0102 DTC means MAF sensor low frequency. Possible causes are blockage at intake screen, vacuum leak at the intake manifold or throttle body, EGR valve flange leak. Also a defective or improperly sealed PCV valve. Try cleaning the throttle body.
Check the reference voltage with a voltmeter at the yellow wire of the MAF sensor electrical connector plug for approx. 5 volts. After that you'll need to ohm out signal and ground wiring between the PCM and MAF sensor.
Make sure the connector plugs on the PCM have no corrosion and are tight. The last item on the list if none of the above is a possible defective PCM."

Hope some of this info helps.
