By 3400 do you actually mean the 3400?(SFI?) or do you actually mean the 3.4 DOHC?

they are 2 very different engines 1 is a dog (3.4DOHC) the other is a good reliable powerplant (3400sfi) if the gpgt has the 3.4 dohc baby it they can be fragile. the 3400 aside from a LIM gasket issue is a very good engine which will last a while if treated right.

i'm just curious...I know your minivan has the 3400, which one is in the gpgt?

nope if any thing it will get a fully ported 3500 top end and headers for a 3100 grand prix :shock:

I heard 3400 heads are better when ported than ported 3500 heads you might want to look into that before you spend money on buying and porting 3500 heads. s+s headers makes headers for the 3400sfi.

nope 3500 heads are better ported ;-) heck there better then ported 3400 heads stock.

it's the 3500 uim that flows like crap.

they wount clear the fire wall i need one for a W-body to work

also don't plan on doing it any time soon the van is still under warrinty for another 70k :lol:
