Swapped engines on a 1994 Grand Prix with a 3100 engine. Engine will not start. Have good fuel pressure…around 43 psi, all spark plugs are firing and in correct order, took fuel injectors out and they all open up. I can spray fuel through the air intake and engine will run. Obviously it’s a fuel issue but I’m stuck where to go next. I seem to be getting 12 volts to the injectors…the ECU seems to regulate the ground to fire the injectors? Is that right? Hard to test if the injectors are actually firing because of location and cranking the engine with the manifold off and egr wide open…if you turn off fuel pump (pull relay out) something senses there is no fuel pressure and it shuts down the injector circuit and then can’t tell if injectors are actually firing….I’m close but stuck.

Not sure if this helps, but I had a friend whose '94 Sunbird (with a 3100) wouldn't start because the oil pressure switch was leaking.

Yeah. Was gonna mention to look at the oil pressure circuit. If the sensor is failed, not plugged in, or what have you, the engine will fail to start.

No No if you can spray fuel in the intake and the car run then its not getting fuel which means the pumps not working or is bad.

Pressure is not synonymous with volume, though.
