What kinda blades do you guys use? All the ones I buy suck and stop working after like a week.

Give me your suggestions.

I get lots of snow and ice.

Honestly, I really like OEM blades... They usually last a few years for me, But they are a bit pricey.

I'm a RainX Latitude and Bosch fanboy. Basically anything that's a single beam design is what I go with. I've also had good results with Michelin's single beam ones. Either way, RainX the crap out of the windshield and that will help immensely and keep your blades nicer longer since you'll be using them less and when they are used, there's less friction so the rubber will stay "sharper" longer.

I personally would stay away from Bosch blade-style wipers.. After three months of use, they've torn apart, bounce and smear said water on the windshield, and up in Minnesota, we've had a VERY mild winter.. Virtually no snow or rain. Total precipitation would probably amount to 5" or so.

Have yet to try the RainX Latitude blades on my GP. Have had pretty good luck with them in the past with my Grand Am. But overall, I think OEM would be the best bet. Though they're expensive with the insert and the blade itself, you can just switch out the insert and save yourself cash in the long run. The blade's still good, why replace it? Just replace the worn out piece and continue on being awesome and rich! :D

My Latitudes are 3 years old and still work fine  I attribute that mostly to keeping the windshield clean and "smooth" with rainX/Claybarring and not using the wipers to clean off snow/ice.

I don't know much about ice and snow, but I picked up a pair in Wyoming that were more ''foam rubber squeegee'' than "wiper blade", if that makes sense. They were great for clearing snow, never froze to the windshield, and couldn't be touched with ice. If I can find the brand I'll let you know.

I use bosch icon excel's. Been happy with them. It doesn't rain that much in southern california so they last awhile.

I have yet to find a set that survives Vegas in the break between rainstorms.

I've been using Peak Optix blades on both of my cars, no complaints here.

I had a set of Bosh Icons - I will never put another set of any Bosh wipers on any of my vehicles. Reason being, when I went to replace them after a couple of years of use (I, however, have no complaints about the quality of their cleaning), I literally had to cut the wiper frame (not the "arm" attached to the car, but the frame of the wiper its self) apart to remove them from the car. I literally spent a hour trying to remove them before I finally covered the car and windshield with towels and made a single strategic cut per wiper so that the wiper could be removed from the "arm". Unlike other wiper frames, these Bosh's did not not have the simple slide-on / press tab and pull to release attachment. My fingers were pretty sore when I finally decided to break out the Dremel.

I usually change out my wipers once a year in the fall and in all honesty, I am a fan of Anco available at WalMart and the like. If you plan on not changing your wipers for multiple years, I'd say go towards the higher end but if you're good with changing them once a year (and having each wiper only cost $8-ish), then I'd recommend Anco (or a comparable brand). Personally, I can't justify spending $20+ per wiper for some of the high end ones when I'm planning on replacing them in a year anyway.

Currently I have a set of Duralast from Auto Zone on my vehicles. Quality-wise they're not bad. Only complaint I have is I felt they were a little over priced (of course I felt that after I bought them ) but otherwise I'm not complaining.

i've herd a great deal about rainX blades and michilin blades, so because they're recommended to me i'll recommend them to you, but to be 100% honest, i don't use the wiper blades, like mentioned above, RainX rocks, the water just flys off, only time i use my wipers is when it's like thunderstorm heavy rain, but that rarly happens to my blades are like new :P

I've been through like every brand out there and found to like the Michelin the best. They went through 3 years of hard abuse and were on it when I sold the car and were still working fine.

I'm not looking forward to replacing the blades on the Jeep. Both sides are only 15". I have yet to find any in stock anywhere.

I have never had good luck with bosch or rainX ones. The advance or auto zone store brands last longer and are cheaper. I just always make sure to get the store brand winter blades and they are cheap and hold up well. It is a part that is not worth the extra money for something that the generic brand works just as good if not better.
