A racing pellet just locks in your iat so it doesn't fluctuate at a predetermined temp. So its just a 10 cent resistor that plugs into the iat

The race pellet will not work on the 04+ cars due to the IAT sensor being built into the throttle body.

Yes however with the zap race pellet you have to have them have it in the tune. It makes the cpm think its like -something ridiculous out and at that temp the pcm is programed to add 4* of timing. I know there's all those "chips" on ebay and yea, what you said is what those do. But zpp's race pellet needs it tuned in to add timing.

i cant imagine that tricking the PCM is a good thing when it comes to adding timing to the motor. if anything it seems like a good way to do some quick and easy piston chipping. no thanks!

the race pellet is just a glorified resiter trick. all ZZP does is add another table in there PCM so when it sees the rediculouse IAT siginal it raises timing and locks out the fuel trims

this is why they recomend race gas. i still would not use it

If you want to increase your timing i suggest sending your pcm back and have it retuned or buy a tuner

Ive had to on my car for a while and I beat the shit out of my car all year round. I get 0* of KR and afr stays the same. I take it out when I use my nitrous.
