See my thing is my mids and highs puts out serious power they will drop voltage alone no bass installed yet ill shoot a video, and since im doing 4 15s this will be a big problem cause if my mids and highs can cause dimming i wonder what 4 15s will do

Im not going to lie i dont understand the alt upgrade stuff yet, though i am running zero gauge on my system already just not the big three, and second batter will be ordered when i order the subs. The XS Power D1200 is the battery of choice.

basically it puts out my amperage than a stock one does so it'll recharge your battery "faster" but w/ 2 batteries and 0 gauge you should be right about equal if you are really pulling that much power w/ just the components

i have powerbastards.com high output alternater check their, it puts out about 90 more amps then the stock alternator and i use to have a second battery in the truck with a 10 farad hybrid capacitor truthfully i took the battery out because it never kept a charge or the place that installed my system messed up the wiring for it, but i have two 12's at 1500 rms but make sure to dynomat the trunk for the rattle that comes with having subs in the trunk cause it will especially the spoiler

I have a picture on here when i put the 4" scosche HD in with the factory 6.5" i never showed when i put the all pioneers in ill try to get a picure up tomorrow. As for the rear door i thought bout it the thing is im running 8 speakers off one amp i was going to do 2 mids and highs amps but dont want the hassle of 2 amps doing one job, so for now this one amp is maxed out its already wired to low adding just 2 more speakers would put me at .7 ohms and i really dont want that.

Tremayne - Honestly, Big 3 is a waste of money unless you have the wire laying around already.. Get yourself a 2nd battery, 3 or 4 runs of 1/0.. and hook shit up. You can have 10 subs if you want, but if you're only running 3000 watts to them, it won't cause much dimming. If you're looking for information, I have a lot of good pics and stories in my car audio build thread... should answer a lot of questions. The dB Drag team I was on is highly against HO Alts, unless you're going to 16V batteries or have a useless Honda 90 Amp alt. There's a multiple world record holder down the road from me that runs a legit 30,000 watts.. and still has the stock alt in his van...

nice i've been thinking of doing the samething but with infinity kappa components

-- Wed Dec 14, 2011 9:31 am --

as for the alt, i dont think its doing me justice anyways seeing as how im only putting out 100 watts rms and my interior lights still dim when my subs hit

Yeah, if you're playing with 100wrms and lights are dimming, I would check your grounds. If they are all good, I would suspect the battery.
