i was seating down watching top gear on netflix and asked myself what does gt,gtp and gxp stand for can anyone help me out with this one

There are different interpretations...

GT = Gran Tourismo or Grand Touring in common english.

GTP = Grand Touring Pontiac

GXP - Pontiac's Experimental Division (aka SkunkWerks)

I'd always heard GTP stood for Grand Touring Performance, or Grinds Transmission Parts.. ;-)
