Hello all, the other day I started hear a "humming" sound coming from the front end. It only makes noise when I am moving. It seems to get louder as I go faster. It doesnt make a sound when I turn, just if driving straight. My thoughts are that it could be tires or hub? Any thoughts?? thanks everyone!

Both the tires and the hub-bearing assemblies are possible. I just replaced one of the front hubs a few months ago, and it was making the exact same "humming" sound that you describe. It was mostly notable at highway speeds. Anyway, the new hub fixed the problem.

Sounds like the typical Wbody wheel bearing failure unfortunately.

Judging by the fact I had this same exact issue a month ago until I changed my front wheel bearings, you may have the same exact problem.

Take it to a place and have someone diagnose it real quick for you to confirm the assumed damage, then take action!

Jack the car up and see if the wheels have play. If they do, then it's a hub.

Tires don't usually "just start" humming unless they are low, but while you're thinking about it, now may be a good time to make sure they're properly inflated.

Wheel bearing. Timken bearings are FTW

They can handle the low status in my car, the axles can't though
