Hey guys and gals...

I put in the Chinese projectors a while back and was never comfortable with the lousy light output. I know
there are a lot of talented people around here who have the ability and tools to change them into HIDs.
Unfortunately, I'm not one of them  so I've lived with the $hitty output.

Well, I burnt a bulb this weekend and changed both lights to the Sylvania Silverstar ones that I see
on TV all the time.

Complete success.... sure, they're probably not as bright as you guys with your fancy-pants HID's
but for the effort of just changing the bulbs (at $19.00 apiece), my lights are easily three times brighter.
(Which makes me wonder if the crappy original bulbs weren't even up to par).

Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Maybe it'll help someone here.

Cheers!

Mike

Glad you are feeling better about your lights... And to answer your question... Any bulbs that come with lights like that are not upto par...

the bulbs that came with those lights burn't out on me in less than 10 hours lol. Good to hear you got a somewhat decent output. When i had HID's in them, i would say the light output was worse than with the bulbs it came with stock... All light in the ditches, none on the road.

Since it's been revisited, can we get some pics of these with HIDs or silverstars in them?

I lost interest after the poor reviews when they first came out, but I may be interested again now.

Meh.

Osram Nightbreakers or bust. Add Catz Zeta boosters and you can get almost as much light as an HID kit.

I'll try to get some shots over the weekend, Explicit Spade. I'm doing a drive tonight into the
woods of NJ... That'll be the real test. With the standard bulbs, I couldn't see $hit.

just an FYI...you can put in an HID kit for the same price you paid for silverstar. visit www.ddmtuning.com ...you'll be further amazed at the light output and quality over halogen.

Yes, you still get the hotspot and the slant.... those don't bother me as much as not being able
to see where the heck I'm going. I don't know which bulb they are. They looked like
the fit and they did. :)

Haven't had any issues with anyone flashing me and I live in NY where people have no
problem telling others to go 'f' themselves.

Couldn't get any pics... my camera sucks at night.
