They're actually cheaper to get them straight from The Retrofit Source. Plus you get a bunch of extras. I'd also purchase the D2S version as that uses a standard projector HID bulb and the fact that the projector has less depth than the original H1 version.

roadrash187, when will your headlights be getting in?

My HID ballasts wont fit! I got h1s, is there some kind of special skinny bulb or something? Mine are too fat to fit in the small hole they have. Did you have problems? I dont just wanna shove them in there.
I also noticed that the part of the plastic behind the bulb that is like the key part it is opened on the opposite side. It is the same shape as the stock bulb with the lights but on the wrong side.

how is the light output of the non H.I.D. projectors? is it at least as good as the stock headlights?

with the HIDs I had to take a drill and notch some of it out. not much at all tho..
and the output of the halogen bulbs was about the same as stockers. but they didn't spray as much so its a lil harder to see past the cutoff. and I had to hav them aimed low bc of the slant

are you you putting spacers? I believe if you don't than the wire thingg coming out of the bulb will hit something in there depending where it is on your bulbs.

How did you manage to put spacers in and get the bulb to still latch on? Put some pics up with the spacers in please.

I actually had to file down the opening just a smidge to get the lights to fit in. It just needed the sharp corners by the opening for the HID ballast wire. Then I had to cut a slot out of the plastic around the HID ballast to get past the notche of the light housing. After that they fit perfect. Mind you I do have the stupid hot spot... but honestly I dont care haha. I see the HIDs just touch the plastic behind the headlights, I dont know how you managed to space them back unless you put a hole in those too. I'll post some pics so you guys can see what they look like on a Black GXP once photobuckets site comes back up.

that's exactly what I did lol. I had to take out a chunk behind the headlight.. but its worth it to not get flashed constantly. I was getting flashed right wen I slapped them in with the halogen bulbs. someone probly would hav started following me and shot me if I didn't fix it lmao

The LEDs and Halos are spliced right into the side marker positive and negative. I used the negative that goes to the main wire harness plug, not the one that leads to the low beam plug. Not sure if it mattered but I figured I'd keep it siple. I used the same splice plugs that the guy in the video used. The ones that go inline and you put the new wires next it then clamp it down, They work really well. Then I electrical taped the crap out of them just so they wont get loose or wet.

They are sealed pretty good. It rained real hard last night and there was not water in them at all. They did fog up a little I noticed when I got out of my car, but I didn't notice a difference in the lighting.

I didn't fix anything lol I'm waiting for shortkid to post some pics of them with the spacers in. Aside from the slight curve and the hot spot I dont think they are that defective at all. First and probably going to be the only headlights made, i'm not going to complain.

All I did was sand down the edges and cut my bulbs probably cause I had the wrong size or shape lol. I got the H1s, I believe those where what were needed but they didn't fit untill I made them because I sure didn't feel like shipping the back and having to deal with ebay sellers lol.

So that's it? No more updates?

There has to be a way to open up those headlights.

If they are made by the manufacturer that made the 97-03's then they can not be opened. Many have tried and never accomplished it. The plastic lens gets to brittle with heat.
