Usually freeing up your exhaust will net better fuel economy. Also the affects of a catback on our cars are so mininal that they really wouldnt have any affect on the engine. Have your driving habits changed since you installed your catback?? Alot of people drive more aggressive after a catback thus resulting in poor fuel economy.

u dont really gain hp from exhaust you just make ur engine work less now then it did b4 the exhaust if your driving habbits are the same. its like breathing through your pillow to breathing normally, just makes everything easier but exhaust work will allow you to run more HP easier and should help with engine temps

Sounds like you got the heavy right foot mod when you installed the exhaust.

How do you like that exhaust out of curiosity?

does the lower MPG also corolate to how much you like the sound fo the car at higher RPM and do you stay att he higher RPM more often

if so nothing wrong just back off a bit

Not sure where you live but, it's that time of year up here where we get the winter gas treatment.. poor gas mileage until April now, woot! Just throwing it out there, otherwise it's probably a heavier foot like others have stated!

when i put on headers as my only mod, my MPG was better on the highway but around town it dropped 1-2MPG. I put on a CAI as the second mod and it helped improve the gas mileage overall.
