To all:

(1) Prev post got my electrical oil pressure guage working--
(2) Question what is the Oil Pressure Specs for this car/ 2004 GP GT2 6 cyl non-supercharged engine
3) My guage is max at 100 PSI--my reading shows from 60-80 PSI (mostly near 80 PSI, however when on highway driving ---The PSI is close to 95-100 PSI just about max on the guage. Is this right ?

Operating temp idle should be around 35-40ish PSI, cruising should be at about 65-70 PSI.

and to answer your question if that was the real oil pressure you you blow out most of the seals in the engine and have massive leaking

i think the GTPs 60psi is kind of high after i fixed the releif spring but 100psi is a bit much lol

I did a google search and posted what I found, since I honestly have no idea what the oil press is supposed to be on these engines, but I do know that 100 PSI isn't what it's supposed to be

and i posted the minimum rule of thumb for it to be good enough lol

unless it's a 3v ford then it needs to have at least 25psi or the cam phasers says "kcuf you life!!!"

This!! are you sure you have the gauge hooked up properly and any chance it's a faulty gauge.

This is how I have the elect Oil Pressure guage (glowshift 7 color series) hooked up:
(1) Green Wire from sender unit to green wire to back of Oil Prsssuer guage; Black to ground
(2) Yellow wire from guage to constant 12V (+) source: (use "add circuit clip" hooked into slot on fuse panel above the PWR SEAT fuse)
(3) Red wire from guage to switched 12V (+) source: (use "add circuit clip" hooked into the CRUISE SW slot...
(4) Note: FYI I put yellow wires together from Oil & Volt guages; also. did the same for red wire , then tied into into the add a circuit clip wire for ea source... Is there a way to test the oil pressre guage ? ? maybe this is not hooked up right...?
