Well after selling my 98gtp I am back into an 06 Grand prix and I have a rather annoying issue. Went out yesterday morning to start my truck for work and I noticed the alarm(aftermarket prostart) was going off, but at a low volume compared to a normal alarm. I tried to arm/disarm etc with the remote and it would not shut off or lock unlock the doors. I opened the door with the key and started the car figuring a low battery. The car started no problem, I let it idle 5 min or so and shut it down. The alarm came back on with the same low level volume. Not wanting the alarm going all day I disconnected the positive cable and went to work. Came back after work reconnected the battery, and the same alarm issue was still there and again the key fob would not work in any combo I tried. I started the car again and alarm shut off but it had a "service car soon" pop up in the display, but before I shut the car off I redid the options for the lamp delay and what not. Shut the car off this time and the alarm didnt start up so I figured its all good, then I noticed there was no interior lights or door chime. Hrmm, so I put my key back in and noting! There was no chime, no gauge cycle, no warning lights etc.

So basically my problem is that I have zero power anywhere. Is there a security reset that I can do or should I try to remove the stupid remote start? I am at a loss and it is too cold for me to be working outside for more than a few min. Last night it was -30°c with a windchill of -40...

Battery tested and I tried to boost it already.

Do you have ability to get it to a shop somewhere? Working out in the cold for your problem could be very difficult.

Well I can get it towed anywhere, but the cold has shut down my job for a week so money is a concern now. I could probably find a friend with a garage(condo living till my house is built in Feb). Would like to have an idea where to start before I find a place to move it.
