Looks good I approve..can't wait to see it painted. Take your time and do it right and just like the others if you pull it off start making a few and you could probably make some bank. (I would get one) just shipping would be a problem I suppose since I don't think to many guys are in AZ.

This is actually quite crazy. I was just down at my buddies place asking if he could fabricate the SLP hood, before I even came on here. I remember seeing the dimensions of the vents so I got on here to find it for him, and ask Flip a question. My friend talked about making a mold, then having a fiberglass hood. This project is going very nicely right now. Can't wait to see the outcome, it seems here lately quite a few 04+ peeps are going for the SLP hood.

I couldn't agree with that anymore. If you think about it, its well over 1k for an inferno hood to your door and then painted. Not to mention the fugly louvers, which I thought about removing if I got one. Or you could buy a factory or CAPA hood for ~$150 or more and spend time making the SLP hood.

I have been thinking of doing this as well. My SLP Hood I have now just isn't doing it for me. On the 04+ SLP hoods. SLP did not take there time to produce a quality product. The older gtx hood were so much better. This way is much better. Can't wait to see the final product.

If your going to mold it make sure your dimensions are different norther hood has changes so slp doesn't sue or send a siece and.decist.

or do what the good knock off companys do and put on a piece that's easy to take off, cause u sold a different hood, the consumer chose to alter it to look like another hood lol

EDIT: any updates btw? we all want it :P

Epic.

You could go either way, but clearly the cheaper less time consuming route would be to have it cool the engine bay...

Looks awesome my friend.

Just a thought but wouldnt it be pretty good to have both?? Like why not have one port leading to the airbox (obviously the one on the right) and leave the other one to cool down the bay. Or would that not work.
