alright i've taken my car in 3 times and the problem isnt fixed. I keep hearing and feeling clanking under the car. i feel the clanking under the gas pedal and hear it in the same general location. i replaced the swaybar links 2 months ago and goodyear just replaced the intermediate steering shaft monday. anyone have any ideas what else would be left or what part i should look at? any help would be appreciated!

at what point do you hear and feel the clank? does it occur under heavy load like when you floor it or under normal driving conditions? also are you turning the wheels at all when it happens or just when your driving straight? it could a number of issues, some of which i would say to look at would be ball joints(if it happens when turning) or possibly cv axles!!?? maybe other suspension components. just a thought

it happens mostly when im going straight but after i hit a bump it becomes more frequent. speed doesnt seem to affect the frequencyim thinking about checking the sway bar links again to make sure they arent sloppy.

Might be a Bad CV shaft on the drivers side, would make sense due to it gets worse after a bump, and you can feel it through the drive train.

^^^thats kinda what im thinking...but cv noise would also be prominant during sharp turns i believe. it wouldnt hurt to check your cv axel boots for leaking grease or cracks of any sort...you can also grab the shaft and try to turn it and shake it to see how much play there is and where it seems to be loose...when you turn it you will have some play that is normal, your looking for abnormal movement or sound.

It could be the exhaust system rattling or a heat shield. It caould also be bad strut mounts.
