Okay I know there's probably other threads about this but ill just ask.

Please no smart ass comments.

What's the basic build plan needed to run a 3.35 pulley?

I've been researching it for awhile but everyone keeps telling me different things.

Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan.

No knock? Drop pulley size. Then guess what you do? Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan. Scan.

For a 3.35 it is usually, intake, cam or rockers or an intercooler, headers, injectors, and the most important part is the tune. And some type of scanner to monitor everything.

Yes the will help, i also run the blue ford 39lb injectors. With our fuel pressure they are very close to 42lb injectors. Ive ran mine on as low as a 3.0 pulley. You will need to have your car tuned to run them.

For a pulley drop of that amount you will definately need to do alot of engine/exhaust mods.

Unless you are about to come into a ton of cash, yur better off going the gradual route to achieve your goal.

Also at that size pulley you might be hitting the flow ceiling on your MAF sensor. So i would recommend running the 85mm MAF which will also have to be tuned. When you plan on going that low in your pulley selection. A vendor tune is not a good idea, your will have to have a custom tune to maximize power and to make sure you car will run safely

So you have a scanner. Good that is the main thing to start with. Next I would go with an intake and then some headers. Decide on a cam or rockers, which ever you want based on how far you plan to go with the car. Cam is recommended if you want to mod further later on. Get an MPS so you can pulley down easier. Just make sure you scan after every pulley size drop and make sure you do any other supporting mods to reduce knock before dropping any more. Intercooler will probably give you the most bang for your buck but they are a bit expensive. CGP usually has a couple used kits for sale in the classifieds over there for a bit cheaper. Plugs are cheap and relatively easy to do so you can change them as you go. 104's should be fine though. Same with a 180* tstat. they are like $10 and you can just throw that in now and have it tuned for it along with everything else. Is there someone local that can tune for you?

shorter dog bones are not needed if you are lowering it is better to get cradle spacers instead

^ this.

And with the intercooler, make sure it is the right core for your gen V and not for a gen III supercharger.

Cradle spacers are more important that shortened dog bones for lowered applications. :)

Custom tune ftw. :)
