I'm just curious, will mustang rims from a 2011 Ford Mustang GT with 18 x 8 fit a 2004 gp?

http://www.americanmuscle.com/silver-20 ... -1011.html

The exact style rims more or less, not sure about the bolt pattern tho.

Yes it will depends a lot on the offset you may have to roll your fenders if your lowered. Several guys run Saleen/Stang/Billet wheels.

The offset is the distance the wheels are offset from the hub. In other words it determines how far the wheels/tires hang out. A 40 or higher offset is recommended for the Grand Prix, anything less will cause the tires to rub the fenders.

Potholes ftl tell me about it had a similar probably worse issue a few months back if you check my old thread you'll see. Potholes+curb= a bad movr. But honestly you cpuld do better on the rims. Check out the saleens they look bad ass should be around the same price.

The only reason why I'm asking about those rims was because the other day a guy was selling them for 200 dollars for a set, i thought i couldn't beat that price. But when i looked back at the ad today it said there were sold

But thankfully i found a set of 1999 gp 16 inch rims (torque star/no curb rashes looks almost new) for 50 bucks each with decent winter thread on them. Just got them installed not my style but they work for now.

I'm looking at mustang rims cuz theres a ton of them for sell most of them 9 out of 10 for a decent price. Can't find anything for a gp below 400 bucks that don't look like crap.

-- Sun Dec 25, 2011 2:36 pm --

trying to avoid anything bigger than 17 in, the roads here aren't in the best shape. The gp is the second small car i ever had. I'm use to drive expeditions and exucrsion where i really didn't have to worry about potholes ;-)

I had a olds alero that only lasted about two weeks before i smashed it (cuz of a damn tree came out of nowhere!! )

114.3 will fit just fine. That is what I am running and have been for years. I have however broken a couple wheel studs over the past 3-4 years with these wheels. Milestone is running a wheel with offset like that and it does stick out a little. His car pulls it off, but not everyone is gonna like it.

I just wander when wheel studs do they do break is it a big thing like going down the road at 60 mphs will something bad happen? And are they expensive to get fix? Anyone else has had this problem before?

You shouldnt have a problem with that, they should fit just fine and if youre stud breaks you should be ok, as long as they all dont break at once you most likely not even notice, just replace them if that happens, sometimes you have to replace the whole hub if you break a stud but thats only on certain hubs, others you can just replace the studs for less than 10 bucks, Im runnin 114.3's right now and I have no issues

I too am running 114.3 as well as several others, me not as long as others but I do know of several guys that have been running that pattern for several summers with very minor issues. ( and i don't beloved they where wheel related) and several of us push a good degree more power, and we don't all drive like geriatrics either ( both the cornering and power would excentuate issues.)

Wheels studs is a easy diy. The basic of it is you remove the wheel hub and then hammer studs out. 114.3 or even 4.5 is fine to run. I've ran both for a few years driving hard with 0 broken studs. The difference between 115 and 114.3 is so minor its no difference.

Dave was running 114.3 on his turbo grand prix, and he was puttin down a lot more power than anyone in this thread and never broke a stud off.

I've been running 114.3 for a few years now without any issues. ive had to replace one stud, and ironically it was before i put my rims on when i was running my stockers. I put down over 300 rampagin stallions to the wheels. I've broken axles, and recently split my transmission in half (and im not exaggerating), but haven't broken a wheel stud. You will be fine.
