Do you have a base model or do you have a tape deck? I just use my tape deck and it sounds perfect, I also have a system though

This, otherwise you would have to go with an aftermarket head unit or find something aftermarket to use. I changed mine for a JVC head unit that had a usb connection made specially for ipod connections. I have loved it and never regretted buying it.

Nothing. I installed it myself. Don't do it unless you are confident in doing so though. Also you need a special part to keep your door chimes and sounds.

Yea, the goal is to keep the date and function of the hud. Most kits I've seen relocate the cd player to the trunk or somewhere hidden and add an extra hook up for the new unit. That is probably the easiest way to set it up.

I got a USA Spec unit from Crutchfield. It worked great for a week, but the harness is bad I Think. I'm waiting for a new one. While it was working it sounded great. You only need the one device, you're not interfering with the door chimes or anything, and it will charge your iDevice too.

I just installed this in my 04 comp g this weekend and it is great. There is no static like a FM transmitter and it will also charge. I would definitely recommend this to you if you are still looking for a solution.
