Hey guys and girls. Just wondering if its possible if you can install heated seats in an 04 grand prix that did not come with them. If so whats the easiest way to go about it. Thanks!

You will need the seats, and the same HVAC as you have, but with seats. You also need to take it to a dealer and have the BCM programmed for the heated seats. Post up a picture of your HVAC, so i can show you what one you need

I have a 2007 Grand Prix Base that I took the fabric seats out and replaced with leather seats which have the heater elements in them, I also replaced the Heater AC controls to have the 2 heated seat buttons. How much does it cost to have the Dealer Program the BCM for the heated seats to work. I have the right fuses in place and when I press the heated buttons they just flash and nothing happens.

Mine does the same thing. But now that winter hit i will be getting them programmed sometime in the next month. I suppose the dealer would probably charge you for an hour of labor.

got a pm from a guy on the local forum who said the BCM is indeed locked. Search for "heated seats" and look at michealbm's post. he seems to know this stuff and maybe you can get an answer there. There are also other people who have said the bcm's from the 04's can be programmed.

ever though of adapting the 97-03 seat set up?

they are nto controlled by the BCM just a 3 way switch. you could add a relay and fuse your self mutch less hassle just find a spot to put the switch

I already have enough switches, and ive been in the GM service manual all afternoon figuringi things out. I still have to find a set of front seats that are heated, and nee the body wiring harnesses. I think im gunna try to do heads up display in my car too. I found the everything needed, but the wiring harness at the salvage yard i was at today.
