Hey guys, need some ideas.. Leaning on the black hood w/ silver accents. If you have an Inferno hood, please post a pic. Carbon fiber pics are fine too, since it basically gives an idea of a black hood on a different colored car.

KEEP ON TOPIC PLEASE! Just PICTURES!

Getting paint done within a week or two, need some inspiration!

I vote hot pink with neon lime green accents. Couple that with screaming bright yellow "Ram Air" stickers on both sides..

Ok, now back on topic:

Before I get my hood painted i could easily get a shot of black hood with silver accents. but anyways,

Heres how it was when I got it:

Image

Heres how it sits now (Sry low quality pic right after it dried, haven't had time to take new pics):

Heres kinda how I would like to do it:

c_k_115, your third pic is what I have been thinking about, but going black hood w/ silver inserts. Still not sure what do, since it's not really possible to undo without wasting money. KEEP EM COMING!

I'd go for the scheme you are thinking, I believe it'll look great and be worth it.

plastidip and spray paint

plastidip the whole thing, then spray paint over it
then once you know what you like peel it off

Can't be bothered. That stuff is like $20/can here and it's special order. Paint needs to be done with repairs at the shop, so going back is not going to happen. Just looking for pictures of people's paint so I can make a decision.

I know there are a lot more hood owners on here!

Yeah plasti-dip is expensive up here, It took me just over 2 cans to do a fairly thick coat on the hood. I was going to temporarily spray paint the accents orange to match, but the paint I ordered ended up not matching. Its near impossible to find paint for this darn orange.

I'd say post up a pic of your car with a matching angle from a car with inferno hood. Then let photoshop do the talking.

Silver air inlet area? I'll see if I can get around to this today for ya.

Alright, let me overwhelm you with designs:) Some of these ideas may be bigger than your actual budget and would require back bumper/sideskirts. I'm just throwing them out there as options that you may have not thought about, something different. My personal favorites (very subjective) are 2, 8 and 9. Hopefully this helps you in your decisions.

Thanks for the post, I think the original idea is still best.

#8 where you would paint the heat extractors and the air inlets? I'd have to agree if so, that would look sharp with the silver as long as you left the grill inserts silver for contrast.

Sorry, misread your posts above, is this more what you were looking for?

That looks pretty tight to be honest... Sweet. Wanna flip it backwards? Black hood, silver raised? I am now down to a possibility of THREE choices. Thanks guys... Glad someone has skills.

I think that looks pretty good, but the scoops a different color almost makes them look like there stick ons. All black with the inlets silver would be the way to go.

Because there is silver in your wheels (not all black) I feel that your hood should remain silver. I believe black accents are the way to go. The raised black of the scoops would make it appear like "stick-on's" as mentioned before.

Here is the silver reversed as you wanted, I did it quickly, don't judge too harshly. I'm probably going to have black accents added to my hood soon because of my experimentation I've done in photoshop.

Image

I believe this one really does take the cake though. Beautiful. Go with what you will like in the end, your the one who has to live with it.

We might end up with the same paint scheme yet :P
