This board seems to be drawing more than it's share of owners from all over the Grand Prix world.
It helps people that wouldn't normally be able to find help a lot of other places,so why not present the members with another forum to help them out?
I'll refer you to the "Speed Daddy" header thread.
It seems as the thread went on,a number of people recognized the vendor as a "crook" from previous sales he'd posted on EBay.
Wouldn't it have been nice if they could have looked him up in a forum that dealt with bad vendors/sellers before they plunked down their hard earned money?
IIRC,the seller only allowed 48 hours to get in?
That's usually indicative of a scam right there.
Basically.....SEND ME YOUR MONEY FAST!
Now that this "gentleman" [or is it "thee"] has been exposed for what he is,the next time he pops his ugly head up,you'd be able to refer to the forum and look up his past shenanigans.
This idea is not mine and is used on the Grand National boards, among others.
It does work well as long as you stick to the facts and leave the name calling and personal opinions out of it.
It's also a great place for the "crooks" to step up and tell their side ... if they've got enough stones to do so after they f*ck people over.

What do you guys think?

Sort of.
I'm thinking more of a section where the stinkers really get outed.
There, you can't tell who the bad guys are at first glance.
I want to know that if a name is in a section,it's there for a no-no.

ok, i started that speed daddy thread. the guy organizing the buy actually had it going for about 5 days on gpf.net. i asked him if i could post it here to help the guys out who wanted to take advantage of this 'great buy'. so, killakross should not be blamed for anything. he is not a shady guy, and actually got a lot of stuff straightened out for us. just to clear the air...

I agree ... I don't think there was any ill will on Killacross's part.
Correct me if I'm wrong here.
As for asking to post it here,I wouldn't be asking.
It would be nice to have a "dirt bag" forum to expose these guys in.
No punches pulled..this is what they did.
Refute it ... if they've got the stones [or if they're right].
Every accused person gets the right to defend themselves.

to run a forum and build it up isn't always just easy as pie. Sometimes you have to pay for a server, and the webaddress and if it gets popular and your bandwidth gets to be too much you have to get bigger and better servers and bigger internet costs and such...This stuff isn't free.

I have done a forum before on my own server, it got to the point I had to have to internet lines in my house and I had to pay $100/month alone in internet bills I had so much traffic. I eventually closed the website down cause I lost my job and just didn't want to deal with it anymore. It was a computer forum/website with links to all sorts of freeware.

I hear you,but I was thinking just add another section on this board.
That way people wouldn't have to go searching all over the net' for it.

It sounds like The Radius Kid talking about doing a dedicated section ( Discussion ) to the forum Under that section ( Discussion ) there can be Topics - Seller Feedback, Buyer Feedback, Scammers, etc. In truth this would allow a easier search and would allow current and future users to see feedback wither its good or bad and it will be organized.

Pretty much.
A "Hall of Shame" is what I was thinking of.

I think this would be great. It would allow scammers to be located easily.

It would sure save some grief [sp?] and be sort of a permanent record.
I wonder what Flip thinks?

I think the current Buer/Seller Feedback forum is quite adequate enough. What I think Radius is calling for is a negative feedback forum or a "Do Not Buy From These People" thread so that he can be more cautious on who to deal with on here.
