For now I'm just going to stay with the stock H/U but I need a power wire to run my sat. receiver. Does anyone know which wire coming out of the 2005 6 disc Monsoon system H/U is the power lead?

TIA.

I ran a new one from the hot lug on the fusebox on the passenger's side underhood, make sure it has its own fuse, then go from there.

Thanks Greg but I would prefer to just run a lead off the stock wiring harness for now. No one knows which wire to tap into?

Steve it looks like the purple wire is the power for the radio on. I found this in the GM service manual at the top of the page if you want to check it out.

I do have your website bookmarked Sam and I should have known to look there first.

I think you are right about the purple wire Don, looks like the correct one to me too.

Thank you guys.

If you go with the RAP wire that I used on my website, then your Sat Radio will mimic or shut off and on along with the factory radio and Amp.

Here is some more info about the RAP Wire.

and the wiring diagram for it.

You can hook up at the two items circled in red.
