is there a way to disable the DRL since they use the low beams if I were to install HID's as my low beams?

ZZP sells a switch for that. It should install the same for 04+ as it does on the previous gen.

This is what I did...

Wiring the capcitor as below will stabilize DRL feed voltage to constant 12v to the relay in this relay harness...If you really want the ability to turn them OFF, you can easily add another relay and switch (of your choice) to allow you to turn your DRL lights ON/OFF. This should be wired in after the capacitor but before the harness relay on the trigger feed wire in the diagram below.

EDIT: for a capacitor, anything above 24v 2300uf would work, I went with a 35V 4700uf capacitor.
