According to Nada.com they say over 100k is high mileage for an '04.

http://www.nadaguides.com/iphone.aspx?L ... 2&vi=53739 (hour the link worked, I'm on my phone).

I'd base gettting rid of it based on how much it's costing me on repairs or overall condition.

I would say around a 120+ for a almost 8 year old DD car. Personally mileage doesn't mean jack shit nowadays. As long as you keep the maintenance up it can go for 200k+. Transmissions are our week point but even then you can either rebuild it or swap it out for another used stocker. It's up to you. Mileage plays a huge part if your selling the vehicle but if your keeping it..who cares.

I'd consider a W-Body a high mileage car once the pinch weld rusts into dust.
My '04 has only 71k.

I have a truck with 250k miles. My monte has 135k, and most of the cars that I've had over the years have had well over 100k miles. 100k means nothing to me.

My 04 gtp has 113k on it. No issues at all. Well, just the valve cover gaskets. But those were easy to replace.

Properly taken care of, the 3800, much like the small block V8s, will last longer than the body of most cars they reside in. yeah, you'll have to replace accessories from time to time but I've seen several 3800s with 500k+ miles without a rebuild.

Our two 04's are both over 90K. They generally run well (with the standard maintenance items for these cars needing to be repaired, of course) and are in great condition inside and out. There's a slight amount of wear on each driver seat (leather), but otherwise they look like new.

My '04's at 110,000. I'm shooting for 200K but this year was an expensive
repair year: tranny, steering box, 2 hubs, 1 caliper and an assortment of
other stupid $hit.
