Hey everyone- my HIDs were delivered today and I already have them installed. Can't wait for it to get dark to take a drive around and see what they look like. I'll try and take some pics too. Anyways, now that I have them installed I'm just wondering if I will have any problems with cops? What do you guys think? I never thought to look into that part of it.

What temp? You shouldn't have any probs with the local law enforcement, I know laws vary from state to state. I'm in Indiana, H.I.D.'s are pretty much everywhere (from what I can see) and I have yet to be messed with, nor have I heard of anybody being messed with. I think the only time you would probably get harrassed would be if you had red or green colored bulbs, but other than that you should be fine.

I went with 6000k. From what I can tell, I'm gonna love them! Can't wait to see them at night and I can't believe how much brighter they are compared to regular old bulbs..

I have the 6000K in both my headlight and fogs. The color is awesome and it makes the lines on the road and the street signs reflect really good.

hey jeff where did you get your HID's? Where they plug and play? You should get HID's for your fogs.
Also where did you get those covers for your tail lights?

hey, got the hids from vvme.com They were plug and play. I am thinking about the hids for the fogs, only problem is tight on cash right now. I bought the tail light covers from a member on here. I dont remember who or where they got them from. I don't have them on anymore as one of them cracked and the color didn't match.

I have some AVS Tail light covers I'd be willing to sell since I never used them- I just ended up getting the LED and getting Flip to tint them for me.

PM if interested...

HID's are some of the best mods you can do to your car. It is for sure a great creature comfort mod.

Are they universal? How hard are they to install?

Polaris they are universal (but you need the 9006's for your heads). They're pretty easy to install basically plug and play but you need somewhere to mount this little box(?).

lol that was good one Malefic_GP. Anyone use those taillight/headlight covers? Think I am gonna buy those HID's from VVME so lemme know how it goes.

Also whats the difference between Single Beam Model and Bi-Xenon Model ? are the kits universal? As in do they work for the fogs? I was thinking about getting the angel eyes fog lights off eBay.

It depends on what year you have. 03 and older use 9007 headlight bulbs, which are bi-xenon. To answer your question about the difference, bi-xenon uses both high and low in one bulb. Where as if you have an 04+ GP, you would have the single beam, or two bulbs, one for the low's (9006) and one for the high's (9005). For fog's, I'm not sure on the 03 and older on the size, but I know for 04+ they are 898, but 880's work as well. Hope that helped ya out a lil bit Shake ....

help me out guys, im confused as hell. ive got an 04 GP and am not sure how to order these HIDs from vvme.com.
my first question is if these are legit. why are they only $39?? ive talked to alot of people who bought HID kits for $100
my second question is whether or not to buy the single beam?
i want to go with the 10,000k but then it asks for a size? what does that mean?
im very anxious to buy for my hi's, lo's and fogs right now, im just skeptical on the low price and am afraid of poor quality.
help me out guys. thanks alot!

mike
