So I'm looking to get some HID's for my 04 Comp G and I want to make sure I've got it all right.

I read on here that if I get HID's I won't have to disable my DRL's because the 04's are hooked up to the parking light/fog light. Is this correct?

Awesome! And I was reading that the seller "hidgate" is a good ebay seller. So these should work right? HID XENON CONVERSION KIT and what bulb do I need to get? is it the 9006?

before you order, you should check out vvme.com there 66bucks shipped for the standard ballast and bulbs.

-oh any just a good tip for the 04+ hid users, when we start our cars with the automatic lights sometimes the hids dont get enough juice coming from the bat. under load causing only 1 hid to ignite. so what i do is flick it to running lights just before i turn the car over, then when the car is started flick it back to reg. automatic lights to ensure that both hid ballasts get enough energy to ignite each bulb at the same time, every time. buts thats just my 2cents. :)

Well I ordered 6000k. I don't want something overly ricey looking. Though I was thinking about 8000k;s :P

I'm sure I'm going to love these haha. One last question I have would be do I need to aim my headlights differently as to not be the guy I'm flipping off that's driving at me?

Mine are from HIDGATE and I don't have to do this. Both work flawlessly. Maybe this makes the extra 20 for them and hidgate worth it.

hehe i had. 8k lows then i was like.. i want BLUE so i ordered 15k for lows and fogs :) lol but honestly it looks tight (not ricey) and i still get good feedback anywhere i go.

-but yeah i had to aim them wayy lower than orig. its just something that your going to have to play around with.

-you just gotta find your happy medium between pissing people off and being able to see :P lol

haha i know.. its like every website that sells HIDs has their own color chart and none of them match lol. but yeah 15k are blue as ever. not purple at all like most websites claim. my buddy on the other hand has some 12k in his VDub and i swear those have a purplish tint to them.

Seller hidgate is good, I've referred some people on here to them. You'll definitely be happy with 'em. I started with the 6000k, then went to 8000k, now I'm at 12,000k n love 'em. Be sure to post some pics when you get them.

DDM offers a kit for $40, granted its only a 35w kit but its still plenty bright (seems just as bright as the 55w)
