This week I started hearing a knock sound which appears to be coming from the rear passenger side wheel well area when launching from a hard stop. If I slowly brake to a stop and slowly launch again, I will not hear it It only happened once where I baked hard, and launched slowly, braked hard right after launch, launched slowly again, just to test it and it knocked but was just a soft knock sound. When I launch hard though I hear it knock loud enough...after im driving its fine untill I brake hard to a stop again.

I recently put on my winter wheels and figured my lugs could have loosened up a bit, I checked em and they are all fine.

I read on forums that it could possibl be a strut mount or rear sway bar endlinks, didn't get a chance to head to my dads shop to inspect that yet but its a 2008 with 82K, enough mileage and I guess anything is possible, anyone have any other suggestions?

One of the mufflers hitting something possibly? Maybe something silly simple like that?

Didn't make any changes to the car in the past few months and didn't hit anything to knock something out of line..ill look into it though when I take it to my dads shop.


Nope, he escaped when I opened the trunk to empty the contents to rule that out...

Anybody else have any suggestions?
