To All: Need Help

(1) I have Glowshift electrical Oil Pressure & Voltage guage...installed approx few years ago worked for a while, both stopped working- finally got around in looking at these few weeks ago...
(2) Both the Oil Pressure gauge & Voltage guage are connected to 12V unswithecd and 12V switched sources...
(3) I got oil pressure guage working-found out it was bad oil pressure sender-(it was leaking oil at the top of sender around where the two terminals are)....
(4) The Votage guage is another story--doesn't work /it fluctuates back and forth from 0 to end of gauge...and most of time it just stays at 0...does nothing...
(5) Question: Is there a way to test the Votage guage with a Volt meter ???? Note: I'm using add circuit connectors to tap in the fuse box....I have check all wires they look ok...FYI the switched source is connected on the 1st slot (lower left if facing the fuse box where the 2 amp fuse is on the fuse block.by glove compartment..
My conclusion is bad guage or switched source is not hooked up right....your thoughts on this????
Thanks TP

First things first, try hooking the volt meter straight to the battery and see if it works. Both the constant and keyed power. If it works its your wiring.
