there we have it, if you point me to other posts... for help in case I missed out

So the driver side window has a vertical scratch from the base to about 1/3 way up... and recently I heard it make a scratching sound when rolling down the window... would anything in the guides cause this... or weather stripping?

also noticed poor radio reception... compared to normal cars, even our Olds any fixes. Is that black antenna on the roof it? or

In addition with the rear defroster on, two lines in the middle, of the window dont seem to clear up that well...

all on a 2007 GP base...

The antenna is basically the rear defroster. The thing on the roof is for xm/onstar. I can tell the difference when I turn the defroster on lol. Also my xm gets bad when the sunroof is opened all the way lol.
If you have HIDs that are poorly grounded that will deffinatly mess with radio static.

@Mater ,thanks will check out the driver window thing....

Today I accidently found the antenna grid, there's a top one, with a wire and a button like piece attached to the top of the rear window, and forms a U shape...

then I found another one a line, from the passenger side, that goes around 80% length of the rear window then stops...

I had a look at both, and couldn't really find any cracks.... would the button on piece to the window be something to look at?

Check the connection on the window and at the rear of the head unit to make sure the antenna is plugged in.

There is a rock stuck in your weatherstripping. Do you have an aftermarket radio, or is it stock? When i had my system in i noticed the radio was worse. The antena adapters arent high quality so it doesnt transmit as well

@cannon, gonna have a look at the weather stripping.. car is bone stock... I checked the connections on the plugs seemed fine, is it like a button, or tab.. like I can pull off and push on again... I tried to move them around a bit too...

I have both issues and, sadly, I've learned to live with them. I've done everything I could
think of to make the radio reception better: followed the antenna line to see if there was a
break, used some contact cleaner and some other goo on the 'button' on the back window...
the goo was supposed to make the contact better, and, finally, I replaced the stock
antenna with one of those old-fashioned stick ones that you can get at the auto parts store.
Nothing improved the shiity reception. (The dealer actually told me that it was because of
freakin' sunspots... with a straight face, too).

I gave up.

As far as the window goes, Once the window was scratched, it didn't seem so important to
take the door apart to get to whatever debris is in there.

Sorry I don't have a fix for you.

@unstable, thanks a lot, sucks to hear that the issue can never get fixed.....
Even using another antenna... hmmm... where does the antenna wire run? like which side?

Sunspots lol random.... sigh..... could it be the radio itself?

I still have to clean the weatherstripping.. been busy lol...
