Hey everyone. as of tonight I am a brand new grand prix owner. My car is a 2004 GT.

Driving it home tonight i realized the crusie control does not work as well as the A/C compressor does not turn on. The AC i'm not getting into right now as its the least of my concern.
I do however want to fix my Cruise.

I have done some reading and I do understand all about the third brake light. That is working fine. I also know that when driving, when you turn on the cruise, the little light should turn on the dash when you set it. I am not getting that which leads me to believe its the Cruise Control Module. I know for a fact that in this module, the solder points become dry and its a simple 2 second fix. I have done this repair in several vehicles but not the grand prix so I am wondering where that Module is located?

Many dealerships or garages will tell you that you have to replace the module for a crazy price, when all it takes is a simple 2 second solder fix. If you ever find that your car cruise is intermitent, one minute it will work, next time it won't, or it will just just turn off when driving, thats a sign of dry solder points.

Hope that helps anyone out with their situation.. I just need to find the Module.

I wish I knew about that when I had my 2005 GP. My cruise functioned just like yours. I never really used it, but I would have fixed it knowing it was that easy. I sold it with non functioning cruise, and like yours non working AC. :D

The AC, i have no clue if its the relay, the fuse, freeon pressure, or a bad compressor. I will start on that when i have time. If the fuse and relay is ok, i will have to check the pressure. The compressor will not turn on if the pressure is too low. If I have too low of pressure, thats as far as I will go. Finding a leak sucks.

Does anyone know where the Cruise Module located?

Check the GM service manual in the top right of the page. Just log in with your same gpona log in info. And welcome.

i checked it out. I didn't find it helpful. I put vin in, and couldn't find anything to do with Cruise Control Module. I was reading on a site its located on the strut tower on passenger side. Anyone agree?
