So, my A/C button doesn't seem to be working, as well as the defrost button. The A/C won't turn off, the defrost won't turn on, but the recirculation works fine. Heat and A/C work fine though. I've checked all of the fuses, so I'm out of ideas.

Pull the HVAC fuse, wait one minute, Put hvac fuse back in and start the car and leave it run for two minutes without touching the climate control.

Than try the climate control and the ac and defrost button and see if this solves it.

This process recalibrates the climate control. Let us know what happens.

Thanks I'll give it a try in the morning.

Alright, tried it. Didn't do anything. Is there any code to look for on a scan, or is there any way to check it with a circuit tester?

Only a dealer or other highend scanner can pick up climate control codes, I remember the local highschool had one that would do it.

Heres something to check if your wanting to try...Remove the climate control from the car, take the back panel off and check for capacitors swelling on top at the back. I heard this has happeend on a few.

If you google capacitor plague you should find many articles showing normal capactors and faulty ones.

I see all sorts of electronics fail because of capacitors doing this like computers, flatpanel tvs, monitors and everything else. Nice to find flat TV's at the end of the road and bring em home and fix em for about a buck.

By the symtoms im guessing it's the climate control at fault here, Maybe one last thing to try is unhook the battery cutting off all power and then restarting the car and let run for the two minutes again...but i dont think this will do anything but worth a shot i guess.

Did you try disconnecting the Batt?? Remove Pos and Neg then touch the cables together..

See if that works..
