i looked at the topic. it was very helpful. but i dont think i want to lower my car. where i live i would tear the bottom of my car off if it were lower.

so if i replace my shocks and want to keep the stock height do i keep the springs i have or should i buy some new ones seeing as how they have 95000 miles on them? and where would i get them? autozone does not sell them. lol

thanks!

I did a lot of research before lowering my car.

Here's what I found:

GXP struts with stock COMPG springs would make a COMPG sit 1/2 - 3/4 inch higher than it was. (I personally tried this)
GXP struts with Stock 04+ GP springs would make a COMPG sit 1/4 - 3/8 inch higher than it was. (I read this)
GXP struts with Stock 97-03 springs would make a COMPG sit ~ 1/4 inch lower than it was. (I read this)
Stock 97-03 struts with 97-03 SSC springs make a COMPG sit ~ 2 - 2 1/8 inches lower than it was. (I personally tired this)
After market (GR2s) 97-03 struts and SSC springs would make a COMPG sit ~ 2 1/8 inch lower than it was. (I personally tired this)

So as far as all this goes its basically personal preference of what you want your car to look like.

And then its also how you want it to drive.

So if you do a combonation that makes the car sit higher, will that mess up the CV axles and stuff just like lowering will do?

And from the above post, it would seem that GXP with comb springs would give the firmest ride. Is that right? I say that because it will ride the highest.

I've never heard anyone having problems from being to high .....

Not sure what you mean by firmest .... but yes from what I had listed the GXP struts and COMPG springs would be pretty STIFF
