Hey guys I think it's time for me to replace my alternator as it's screaming at me. Sounds like Its a supercharger when I accelerate lol. Anyway my question is should I replace it with a stock one or go aftermarket? I have system in my car and the lights did dim on some bass hits but that may just be because the alternator was on it's way out. I haven't yet measured what the batt is getting but I'm sure it's low. Let me know guys

If you have the 5 button DIC it will tell you what it is putting out. You can always run it to an advance/autozone and they will test it for free. Easy to replace though like previously stated.

oh hey btw it happened to me aswell and i regrounded/ sanded the the wire ends and the wine stopped, sometime the ground gets weak and makes that noise

Clean all connections and grounds, then report back.
If you are going to replace it, I would go with a Bosch unit and do not go with a re-manufactured.
Afterwards, make sure you keep your warranty for any possible future failures.

well measured the output to make sure it was worthwhile to replace the alt and turns out it is. output was up and down ranging from 12 to 14 so I swapped it out for a new OEM one because it was cheap. I also cleaned the grounds to ensure I wouldn't have future problems. now it doesn't dip below 14
