Has anyone used the aftermarket headlights? There are a few companies on ebay selling them but I don't know what the quality would be like. You can get a new headlight for $50-$60. Anyone tried them?

I bought my aftermarket ones from American Headlights. They aren't bad, but be prepared to seal them up with some silicone otherwise you'll get condensation in them.

Thanks! Can you tell the difference between between them and the stock gm ones?

The beam pattern will be different.

Thats why I took the lense off the Aftermarket and put them on my OEM reflector housing

So was the aftermarket beam pattern not good? I've been using high wattage bulbs for the last year or so and I'm not sure if my housings are that great. Also, I hit a deer (or it hit me) and my housing is a little messed up one one side. That's the whole reason I'm getting headlamps. I also need a bumper, door, and fender. Deer season just opened and I've already got one, lol. What did you have to do to replace the lense?

Thanks!

Steven

I had to bake the headlights to remove the lense

headlight like the one below the beam pattern must be different because the black part at the bottom is done and is chrome, so the reflection you don't get from the bottom of the headlights you now get. So you must have a good bit of light shinning upwards now.

the cheap ones are horrible beam pattern if ur going to use HID's...the bottom being chrome or black is irrelivant to the beam projection....the reflector itself has different spacing/angles...doesnt look like much but it was laughable when i used one w/hid it threw this weird chunk of light off to the shoulder and not consistent beam pattern... DONT buy unless u just neeed new lens..i bought some cheapys and baked covers off and used oem housings/reflectors...

I bought my set from Trojan for like $120 (for the set) and I never had one single problem with them at all.
