so if none on a n/a, what about an 07 s/c? I don't remember seeing anything about an 07 recall period. Am I wrong?

Ironically when my girlfriend got her GP, I replaced the V/C gaskets the first week (clearly leaking since smoke would pour out of the hood when the exhaust mani's were hot) and that same day bought a fire extinguisher to keep in the car.... mostly to put out other 3800 fires and not for her car
A house a couple miles down the road actually burned down last summer and guess what was sitting in the garage.... a roasted shell of a GP. No idea what caused that fire which the newspaper said started in the garage and spread to the house. :???:

Only recalls I know/knew of when I was under warranty was the steering components, I didnt have my 07 for but MAYBE 2k miles(bought it showroom new) and the tranny went out, ended up being a vacuum hose was busted but they replaced my ENTIRE steering system and whatever front suspension attached to it.

Well I still have stock knuckles so that isn't a worry.

As for the gas tank, I bought the car from the dealer in june of 2007 so the gas tank recall issued in 2006 "should" have been taken care of by them before I bought the car. 88k and no problems thus far, but maybe I should call and double check just to be safe

What do you guys think I'd be looking at approximately $$ wise (labor hrs/parts) if I were to take my 07 to get this (VC gasket replacement) taken care of? I have next to no mechanical skills and it being my DD and only car I wouldn't wanna chance doing it myself unsupervised lol

Thanks!

If it is covered under the recall just take it to the dealer and they will do it for free. At the very least they will be able to tell you if it is covered under the recall. If not they are super easy to do yourself.
